Blueberries

Welcome to this website devoted to nutrition and nutritional therapy in York. I'm Glyn Blackett and I specialise in working with:

  • emotional well-being (stress, anxiety, panic, depression and more)
  • cognitive performance (focus, concentration, memory)
  • neurological and developmental health (ADD, ADHD, Autistic Spectrum, epilepsy and more)
  • fatigue and energy balance
  • weight loss and addiction
  • gastro-intestinal health
  • stress related symptoms such as headache

Besides nutritional therapy I'm also trained in psychotherapy, biofeedback and neurofeedback, enabling me to offer an integrated, holistic approach aiming to:

  1. Resolve underlying biochemical and physiological imbalances such as hormone problems or systemic inflammation (nutritional therapy)
  2. Develop key skills in emotional self-regulation and stress management (biofeedback).
  3. Change psychological and perceptual patterns that cause or maintain problem states (psychotherapy)
Health and Lifestyle Screening

Nutrional therapy recommendations need to be based on accurate assessment of functioning. I can provide objective assessment by laboratory testing, and also with the EIS system - powerful and innovative technology which can rapidly and non-invasively estimate health status and physiological functioning in each of the body's main organ systems, including brain neurotransmitter levels and hormone balance.
